Hand-made hardwood frames
All paintings are high quality acrylic on equally high quality stretched cotton canvases, gallery depth (1.5”), finished with UV-resistant archival satin varnish and are ready to hang for a contemporary unframed look.
If you would like to lend a little classic weight to your purchase, I love making hardwood floating frames from scratch. I spline the corners of my frames to add strength; variations in temperature and humidity lead the wood to swell and shrink and lead to corners separating. Splines are also very attractive, particularly when executed in contrasting colors of wood (cherry and walnut is my favorite I think).
